Venture Builders play a pivotal leadership role in leading the Development and Execution Phase of each venture project, focusing on market research, technology scouting, and the establishment of a new commercial opportunities. This role involves collaboration with students, faculty, and industry experts to identify and leverage cutting-edge technologies for specific applications.
Venture Fellows are post-docs or graduate students in deep tech areas with a passion to change the world with technology that participate in the venture building process for a limited period of time. Many Venture Fellows will decide to join the Venture full time.
Key faculty members from within each University & DOE Lab are the source of big ideas and technologies that we create high impact around. Principal inventors & researchers can act as technical advisors, Chief Scientific & Technology Officers and academic Co-Founders to the Grasshopper Venture.
Grasshopper Ventures has multiple innovation gateways. Each gateway will have an advisory board made up of experts from around the world that are in related fields to the gateway. In early stages, the board can help counterbalance our own biases to help us make informed decisions to proceed with an idea. Subsequently, the board can can help approve ideas moving through each phase.
